The Sales Specialists will spend the majority of their time providing hands-on, sales leadership at Blue Harbor senior living communities. This includes, but is not limited to, serving as the community sales representative as needed.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

When serving in the sales role at a community, the sales specialist is responsible for:

  • Providing sales leadership. This includes coordinating all aspects of the community sales function - working the CRM, conducting tours, following up with prospects, coordinating the move-in process, etc.
  • Growing and maintaining occupancy at the assigned community. This will be achieved by selling with passion for the community and aggressively and appropriately working with seniors and families to help them navigate the sales process.
  • Following up with urgency, creativity, and professionalism on all internal and external sales opportunities.
  • Being confident in their closing ability and meeting or exceeding industry standard closing ratios.
  • Coordinating and executing community outreach plans.

 

When not assigned to a specific community, the sales specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Home Office sales team with training of new sales team members and EDs using the Blue Harbor Sales Program training materials.
  • Participate in the creation of new sales training materials and tools.
  • When visiting a community, prepare a site visit report for the RDO that outlines accomplishments made during the visit and identifying areas for further support.
  • When called upon, participate in weekly sales calls with communities to focus on monthly projections, discuss and assist in developing action plans to advance the sales effort, and identify any barriers that may be holding back sales effectiveness.
  • Provide CRM reporting support to RDOs and EDs as needed.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS include the following:

  • Three years previous sales experience in senior housing
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications is preferred

COMPETENCIES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Solid track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Demonstrated high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight and variable deadlines, handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Available for extensive travel
